Senior Specialist, Fabrication and Welding

Prototype Shop Center

PTS Fabrication and Welding Senior Specialist is a skilled professional who will support the manufacture & modification of prototype parts & vehicles. The individual is responsible for interpreting engineering drawings to manufacture and modify prototype vehicles and components using fabrication and welding equipment, ensuring the output meets all engineering specifications and requirements.

Experience

• Fabrication and Welding Senior Specialist – Minimum 7+ Years Experience.

This role involves relocation to the Middle East and visa sponsorship is provided.

This role is 100% workshop based, the successful candidate will be expected to be physically capable, fit and has experience working in a hand on environment.

We are particularly keen in speaking to experienced Saudi Arabian talent.

Key Responsibilities

• Support lead specialists with the manufacture of components, test rigs, jigs and fixtures required for PTS.
• Advice on material selection and feasibility.
• Ensure work is completed to tight/controlled engineering tolerances.
• Perform Sub-assembly operations of vehicle components/systems.
• Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) of equipment within the Fabrication Centre.
• Flexibility to support other departments within the PTS when required.

Functional Requirements

• Experience in a manufacturing and fabrication/welding environment.
• Skilled in MIG and TIG welding on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals ranging from 0.6mm-15mm.
• Experience with traditional manufacturing and fabrication technologies including metal forming.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and data.
