Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking a Rolling Stock Engineer to join our team in a role focused on the technical integrity of rolling stock across at-grade, elevated and underground sections. You will provide expert guidance on rolling stock design, development and safety, reporting to the Lead Rolling Stock Engineer and ensuring seamless integration with signaling, doors and civil infrastructure.

Qualifications

Mechanical or electrical engineering degree or equivalent required.
Minimum 12 years of mechanical engineering experience.
Significant experience in large, multidisciplinary projects.
Strong knowledge of rail industry and rolling stock design delivery.

Responsibilities

Provide expert technical advice on rolling stock to the project team.
Define and develop interface specifications to support supplier design.
Monitor design progress with project controls on schedules and deliverables.
Ensure safety, quality, cost and schedule alignment for rolling stock work.
Review and approve rolling stock system/sub-system designs for client requirements.
Coordinate interfaces with platforms, signaling, telecoms and power supply.
Conduct site visits and inspections to verify rolling stock works quality.
