Job summary

Dar Al Riyadh Group invites applications for a Senior Road Engineer (Roads & Grading) to lead the design phase of road infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. The role requires strong civil design knowledge, CAD proficiency, and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs.

You will oversee concept to detailed design, perform pavement and earthwork calculations, ensure compliance with standards (AASHTO/ASTM), mentor junior engineers, and present designs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of civil engineering design experience focused on roads/highways/grading.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation).
• Strong knowledge of design codes and standards such as AASHTO and ASTM.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design process for road and grading projects from concept to detailed design.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and analyses to inform design decisions.
• Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD tools.
• Perform pavement design, earthwork, drainage, and geometric design calculations.
• Coordinate with surveyors, geotechnical engineers, and other specialists.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and permitting requirements.
• Review design alternatives and provide optimization recommendations.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in design review meetings.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in road design.
