Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Duba, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our construction management team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of our projects through accurate cost estimation, contract administration, and value engineering.

  • Establish client requirements and conduct comprehensive feasibility studies for new projects
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to calculate accurate project costs
  • Prepare and administer pre‑ and post‑contract documentation, including main building contracts, piling contracts, and nominated sub‑contracts
  • Measure and take off quantities for architectural, infrastructure, and structural work elements
  • Assess variation orders, prepare interim valuations, cost plans, and budget studies
  • Compile and review contract documents for execution, ensuring compliance with statutory building regulations
  • Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance of project work
  • Allocate work to subcontractors and manage their performance
  • Analyze project outcomes and write detailed progress reports
  • Provide expert advice on contractual claims and dispute resolution
  • Attend on‑site and consultant meetings, liaising with clients, architects, and associate consultants
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior quantity surveyors
  • Stay updated on different building contracts in current use and industry best practices
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or any related qualification
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in pre‑ and post‑contract work within consultancy or main contractor environments
  • Proven track record in managing large‑scale construction or infrastructure projects
  • In‑depth knowledge of building contracts, regulations, and industry standards
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in cost estimation and analysis software
  • Experience in value engineering and life‑cycle costing
  • Familiarity with Saudi Arabian construction standards and regulations
  • Arabic language skills preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to team success
  • Results‑oriented approach with a commitment to meeting project deadlines and financial targets
  • Willingness to travel to project sites within the region as required
