Responsibilities
  • Piping Engineer overseeing the project activities
  • Experienced in plant piping, welding and metallurgy
  • Review process design package, calculations, process scheme and vendor documentation
  • Supervision of subcontract activities at Site on behalf of Client
  • Support Client in routine project proceedings and activities
  • Progress report, tracking etc.
  • Supervise piping installation works, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and project standards
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor daily progress to ensure adherence to schedule and quality requirements
  • Coordinate with procurement, planning, and QA/QC teams for material delivery, inspection, and testing
  • Resolve technical issues at site, including design discrepancies or site conditions affecting piping installation
  • Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Review and approve method statements, ITPs, and shop drawings related to piping works
  • Participate in progress meetings, interface coordination meetings, and technical discussions with clients and subcontractors
  • Maintain records of installation progress, issues, and changes for reporting purposes
  • Support pre-commissioning and hydrostatic testing activities
  • Provide input for as-built documentation and punch list clearance
Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in piping engineering at construction sites, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects
  • Strong knowledge of international piping codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, API, etc.)
  • Experience in isometric review, material take-off, and field engineering support
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar design and review software
  • Familiarity with site safety practices and risk assessments
