Job summary

TAQA Water is seeking a Piping Construction Engineer to oversee piping construction and installation across multiple energy projects in Saudi Arabia. You will ensure work aligns with design specifications, safety standards, and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in piping construction, preferably in energy projects.
• Experience with Installation, Testing & Commissioning for Carbon Steel & Polyethylene Pipelines.
• BOQ preparation.
• Familiarity with Piping Technical Specifications.
• Understanding of welding processes (WPS/PQR).
• Ability to read Plan & Isometric drawings.
• Experience managing construction teams and testing teams.
• Knowledge of cathodic protection.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review piping construction plans and drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely completion of piping projects
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and implement corrective actions
• Coordinate subcontractors and construction teams, ensuring adherence to schedules and safety protocols
• Review and approve material and equipment specifications, ensuring compliance with standards and budget
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports and change orders
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support to project teams
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations for piping construction
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures on-site
• Train and mentor junior engineers and construction staff
