Job summary

Norconsult Telematics in Riyadh is seeking an experienced frontend engineer to deliver contracted enhancements, own frontend architecture, and maintain production stability. You will implement features using React/Next.js and ensure quality with tests.

You will collaborate with backend, UI/UX, QA, and product stakeholders, and support on-call production issues. English is used for development; Arabic content is delivered via a translation layer to ensure accurate localization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS or related field.
• 4–5 years of frontend development experience.
• Strong hands-on React.js and Next.js experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production web applications using React and Next.js.
• Own frontend architecture and technical implementation for new features and enhancements.
• Build reusable, scalable, and well-structured component libraries.
• Develop strongly typed applications using TypeScript.
• Integrate REST APIs, including authentication, error handling, and data transformation.
• Build responsive, accessible interfaces using Sass/SCSS and modern CSS.
• Ensure full localization and RTL support with a translation layer for Arabic content.
• Own features end to end — design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Triage and resolve defects; participate in incident investigation and root-cause analysis.
• Participate in on-call support rotation for production issues.
• Work from Azure Boards and maintain a clean delivery audit in Azure DevOps.
• Review/modernize code, architecture, performance, and maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain engineering standards.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Collaborate with backend, mobile engineers, UI/UX designers, QA, and product stakeholders.

Job description

Deliver the contracted frontend enhancement scope on schedule and to agreed quality standards. Own frontend architecture and technical direction for the web platforms. Maintain production stability through defect resolution, incident participation, and root-cause analysis. Raise code quality, test coverage, performance, and security posture of the existing frontend codebase. Maintain a complete and auditable delivery record in Azure DevOps.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain production web applications using React and Next.js
• Own frontend architecture and technical implementation for new features and enhancements
• Build reusable, scalable, and well-structured component libraries

• Integrate REST APIs, including authentication, authorization, error handling, loading and retry states, and data transformation
• Build responsive, accessible interfaces using Sass/SCSS and modern CSS
• Build screens with full localization and RTL layout support. Development and deployment are carried out in English; Arabic content is delivered through a translation mapping layer
• Own features end to end — technical design, development, testing, deployment, and production support
• Triage and resolve reported defects, and participate in incident investigation and root-cause analysis
• Participate in the out-of-hours and on-call support rota for production issues
• Work from Azure Boards and maintain a clean delivery audit trail in Azure DevOps
• Review and improve existing code, architecture, performance, and maintainability

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.
• Minimum 4 to 5 years professional frontend development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js
• Strong understanding of React hooks, component architecture, design patterns, and frontend application architecture
• Strong experience with Redux, including reducers, actions, selectors, middleware, and asynchronous state management
• Strong experience integrating and consuming REST APIs
• Strong HTML5, CSS3, Sass/SCSS, and responsive development
• Proven experience building and maintaining large or complex web applications
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, session management, and secure API integration
• Experience integrating single sign-on using Microsoft Entra ID
• Working knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and common web vulnerabilities — XSS, CSRF, injection, insecure data exposure, broken access control
• Strong Git experience; familiarity with code review, CI/CD, and production deployment workflows
• Strong debugging and analytical skills, and the ability to take independent ownership of technical problems
• Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours support rotation
