Job summary

Matar Holding company requires a senior finance leader to oversee all accounting processes and month-end close in Saudi Arabia. You will prepare reports for senior management, ensure accurate postings, analyze variances, and manage provisions and accruals in line with IFRS/GAAP.

Strong leadership and ERP skills are essential. You will drive internal controls, risk management, budgeting, and stakeholder communications, while guiding the finance team and coordinating with auditors.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification like ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership position.
• Preferable experience in Agriculture, Poultry Farm business.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of financial accounting and month-end close.
• Prepare accurate financial reports for the business unit and senior management.
• Review and analyze transactions to detect unusual recordings.
• Prepare financial statements, variance analysis, and other reports.
• Manage month-end provisions, accruals, and cost matching.
• Ensure three-way validation of invoices before booking and payment.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders and provide insights for decisions.
• Identify cost-saving initiatives and manage finance charges.
• Participate in budgeting with FPM and department heads.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Safeguard assets and ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and regulations.
• Assess financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Lead and improve financial systems and automation.
• Contribute to the group’s financial strategy and resource allocation.
• Communicate financial information to stakeholders, including senior management.
• Monitor performance against budget, take corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic projects.
• Coordinate with auditors to complete audits timely.
• Evaluate investments and capex with cost-benefit analyses.
• Lead the finance team and support professional development.
• Prepare and report ZAKAT, Tax, and monthly VAT in Saudi Arabia.
• Preferable knowledge of Agricultural business, Poultry Farm.
