Job summary

Opera House Project is seeking an experienced Field Mechanical Inspector to oversee inspection and quality control of mechanical installation works. The successful candidate will ensure all mechanical systems and equipment are installed per approved drawings, project specifications, international standards, and client quality requirements while ensuring compliance with HSE regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–10 years in mechanical inspection for large projects.
• Knowledge of ASME, ASTM, API, ISO standards.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs and isometrics.
• Strong communication and QA/QC skills.
• GCC/Saudi Arabia project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical installation works including piping, HVAC interfaces, pumps, equipment, and valves.
• Verify conformance with drawings, specifications, method statements and standards.
• Monitor installation, alignment, and workmanship for quality.
• Witness pressure testing, hydrotesting, flushing, and commissioning activities.
• Review ITPs, material inspection requests, and quality docs.
• Prepare inspection reports, punch lists, NCRs, and quality records.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, engineers, and client reps.
• Ensure compliance with project quality standards and HSE regulations.
• Support handover by verifying mechanical completion and documentation.
