Senior Engineering Manager (Process / Design Engineering)

Sector: FMCG / Food Manufacturing

We are partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturer in the Middle East to appoint a Senior Engineering Manager (Process / Design Engineering) to lead the design, installation, and optimisation of large-scale dairy processing operations.

This is a senior technical leadership role, suited to an engineer with deep hands‑on experience across dairy process design, commissioning, and hygienic engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead process design and engineering for dairy production lines from concept through installation and commissioning
• Own process engineering fundamentals, including:
• P&IDs, layouts, batch size calculations
• Mass & energy balances
• Heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and process control
• Process sizing and functional design specifications
• Provide technical oversight across pasteurisation, homogenisation, fermentation, separation, aseptic processing, and packaging
• Drive best‑practice hygienic design, CIP systems, and operational efficiency
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, quality, maintenance, and project teams
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across existing and new manufacturing assets

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or similar
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in process engineering design and installation within dairy manufacturing
• Strong practical knowledge of dairy processing principles and large‑scale industrial systems
• Process simulation tools
• CAD drawings and engineering design software
• In‑depth understanding of:
• HACCP, GMP, and relevant environmental regulations
• Dairy hygienic design concepts and engineering standards
• CIP practices and protocols

Preferred Background

• Experience gained within large, complex dairy or food manufacturing environments
• Exposure to multinational FMCG or OEM environments is highly advantageous
