Job summary

DS DeepSource GmbH is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our multinational partner. You will ensure performance, availability, and security of critical databases, collaborating with developers and IT colleagues to support mission-critical applications.

The role requires 5+ years as a DBA, strong DBMS knowledge (Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server), and experience with monitoring tools and security best practices. Private health insurance and annual flight tickets for family are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA).
• Strong knowledge of database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with database administration tools and monitoring systems.
• Familiarity with database security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the performance, reliability, and availability of databases.
• Develop and implement security measures to protect the databases from unauthorized access or data loss.
• Design, implement, and maintain database systems and schemas.
• Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Plan and execute database backups and disaster recovery procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, such as performance bottlenecks, data corruption, and connectivity problems.
