Job summary

KBR-Abu Dhabi seeks a Cost Engineer to oversee comprehensive project cost management on large-scale power and water transmission schemes. The role involves steering budgets, cost reporting, and coordination among EPC contractors and clients to ensure financial objectives are met.

Responsibilities include budgeting, cost tracking, variance analysis, and risk-aware decision making, with leadership across project teams to deliver on schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cost engineering or similar role.
• Proven experience in similar programmes.

Responsibilities

• Develop overall program and package budgets.
• Track costs against approved budgets.
• Develop job cost reports with variances, earned value and forecast costs.
• Comment and verify EPC Contractors' reports on value of works done.
• Coordinate with clients, supervision consultants, contractors and regulators to ensure cost alignment.
• Prepare monthly Forecast-to-Complete (Estimate at Completion).
• Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management and client.
