Job summary

Air Products is seeking a senior professional to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SCADA, PPC, EMS, and SAS across renewable and grid-connected assets. The role emphasizes grid code compliance, OT cybersecurity, and coordination with EPCs, OEMs, utilities and stakeholders.

The candidate should possess a 10+ year track record in SCADA and automation for renewable assets, with strong IEC knowledge and hands-on Solar, Wind, and BESS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related Engineering.
• 10+ years SCADA and automation experience with renewable assets.
• Strong knowledge of IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3, Modbus, DLMS, OPC UA.
• Hands-on experience with Solar, Wind and BESS facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SCADA, PPC, EMS, and SAS across renewable and grid-connected assets.
• Lead grid code compliance and performance validation activities.
• Drive OT cybersecurity compliance and network architecture reviews per standards.
• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and remediation planning.
• Support RTDS and HIL activities.
• Coordinate EPCs, OEMs, utilities and stakeholders.
• Coordinate site troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Ensure HCIS SEC compliance and support Site Performance Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, operation, and optimization of SCADA, Power Plant Controller (PPC), Energy Management System (EMS), Substation Automation System (SAS) ensuring seamless integration and interoperability across renewable, hybrid, and grid-connected power generation assets including Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS/TDMS).
• Lead grid code compliance and performance validation activities.
• Drive OT cybersecurity compliance and network architecture reviews according to NCA, OTCC, ISA62443 etc.
• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and remediation planning.
• Support RTDS and HIL activities.
• Coordinate EPCs, OEMs, utilities and stakeholders.
• Coordinate site troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Ensure HCIS SEC compliance for the project Support for Site Performance Management.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years SCADA and automation experience with renewable assets.
• Strong knowledge of IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3, Modbus, DLMS, OPC UA etc.
