Job summary

Safety Steward position in Saudi Arabia supports a safe and compliant working environment by identifying hazards and promoting safe work practices across the organization. The role conducts safety observations, reports hazards and incidents, and assists with implementing health and safety procedures to protect employees and operations.

The incumbent will participate in safety meetings, maintain records and documentation, and help ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant professional experience in occupational health and safety or a related field.
• Degree or academic background relevant to health and safety, environmental health, engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• Recognized professional safety certifications or relevant safety training are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections and observations to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Report safety hazards, incidents, near misses, and non-compliance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Promote safe working practices and encourage employees to follow established health and safety procedures.
• Assist with implementing and monitoring safety procedures, policies, and preventive measures.
• Support incident investigations and assist in identifying corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and relevant training activities.
• Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, incident documentation, and other required safety records.
• Monitor the use of PPE and report any observed deficiencies.
• Support compliance with applicable health and safety requirements and organizational standards.
