Responsibilities

• Drive a truck to transport goods or materials according to schedules and safety regulations.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform preventive maintenance.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, fuel cost, and any problems encountered.
• Maintain contact with base during trips to receive instructions or be dispatched to new locations.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws and safety standards set by the company.
• Report incidents or accidents immediately to the supervisor.
