Summary

Operates various instruments and masters different relevant techniques; performs routine laboratory and equipment maintenance, assists senior technical staff or research investigators by performing experimental research following established protocols.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Supports research projects by conducting literature searches, data management and maintaining files for project Researchers.
2. Performs various technical tasks to support research projects/services. Sets-up and operates various instrumentations.
3. Analyses data; records research procedures and result by using computer software as applicable.
4. Verifies the accuracy and validity of data entered in databases.
5. Searches and reads the literature to either implement new techniques or troubleshoot research-related problems.
6. Performs supervisory and training duties involving lower level technical staff.
7. Orders and maintains sufficient laboratory supplies, materials and overall tidiness and laboratory cleanliness.
8. Maintains quality standards to preserve the integrity of data and findings and analyses data using various statistical methods.
9. Provides ready access to all experimental data for the faculty researcher and/or supervisor.
10. Analyzes results; enters data; and provides training for students and junior technical staff.
11. Follows all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures.
12. Participates in self and others' education, training and development, as applicable.
13. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s or Associate Degree/Diploma in Health Applied Sciences, or other related discipline is required.

Experience Required

Four (4) years of related experience with Bachelor’s or six (6) years with Associate Degree/ Diploma is required.
