Job summary

Trading and Development Partnership is seeking a versatile QA/QC Engineer with a Civil & Electrical background to join our power infrastructure team in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on quality control for HV substations and overhead transmission lines, ensuring construction meets client and international standards.

You will execute and maintain the project quality management system, perform site inspections, manage ITPs and MIRs, and coordinate with testing laboratories or witness site tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 8–12 years of QA/QC experience in the power sector.
• Field experience on HV substations or OHTL projects.
• Ability to read SLDs, wiring diagrams, or structural plans.
• Strong English communication for technical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections based on discipline (Civil or Electrical).
• Execute and track ITPs and MIRs for the project.
• Maintain QA/QC records, daily logs, and punch lists.
• Identify onsite non-conformances and drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate with third-party labs or witness site tests as needed.

We are seeking a versatile QA/QC Engineer with a background in Civil & Electrical Engineering to join our power infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have direct experience in quality control for High Voltage (HV) Substations, Overhead Transmission Lines (OHTL), or both. You will execute and maintain the project quality management system to ensure all construction works meet client and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections based on your discipline (Civil foundation/structures or Electrical equipment/stringing).
• ITP Execution: Implement and track project-specific Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and Material Inspection Requests (MIR).
• Documentation: Maintain precise quality records, daily logs, and QA/QC punch lists for client review.
• Issue Resolution: Identify onsite non-conformances, issue internal NCRs, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Testing Support: Coordinate with third-party testing laboratories (civil) or witness site acceptance tests (electrical).

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 8 to 12 years of experience in QA/QC engineering within the power sector.
• Sector Expertise: Proven field experience specifically working on HV Substations or Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) projects.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret discipline-specific engineering drawings (SLDs, wiring diagrams, or structural plans).
• Communication: Strong technical reporting skills and fluent in written and spoken English.
