Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a QA/QC Inspector to ensure PQP implementation at project sites and compliance with customer requirements. You will study PQP/ITP/checklists, drawings and method statements, and implement them on site.

You will perform internal inspections ahead of consultant/client reviews and verify material/equipment inspections for proper storage and documentation. You will raise MIRs/NCRs as needed, coordinate with external labs for tests, keep traceable inspection records, and

Responsibilities

• Plan & conduct inspections to verify PQP implementation and compliance with customer requirements.
• Study PQP, ITP, checklists, drawings, method statements, material approvals and specs; implement as applicable.
• Conduct internal inspections before consultant/client inspections and ensure correctness.
• Inspect materials/equipment on receipt to meet PO/approval/specs and proper storage.
• Raise MIRs and obtain approvals from customer representatives.
• Record inspection results and maintain traceable backups of soft forms.
• Coordinate with external labs for tests and reports; issue NCRs/memos for deviations.

Job description

• To ensure effective implementations of PQP at project sites and ensure compliance to customer requirements of project. Plan & Conduct various inspections at stages, obtain approvals and minimize reworks, time loss and improve efficiency.
• Study approved PQP, ITP, checklists, drawings, method statements, material/equipment approvals, and technical specifications, standards etc. required for the project and implement the same as applicable.
• Conduct internal inspections prior to consultant /client inspections and ensure the correctness as per project requirements.
• Conduct material / equipment inspection on receipt at sites to comply with PO / approval/ specification requirements and proper storage.
• Raise Material Inspection Request (MIR) as per requirements and obtain approval/clearance by customer representative.
• Raise Request for Inspections / Inspection request (RFI/IR) as per requirements and obtain approval/clearance by customer representative for various works/activities at stages as required at site and prepare the inspection records.
• Keep supervising site activities to ensure use of approved drawing, material, work method and right sequence etc.
• Arrange and keep all records in traceable way & backups of soft forms.
• Coordinate with external laboratory for tests, reports etc.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) / Memos to Site Engineers and sub-contractors on deviations for required corrective actions.
• Ensure proper corrective actions are taken on time to close NCRs and preventive measures are initiated as required.
• Verify whether equipment and material is properly stored and protected as per contract specifications
• Keep reporting all inspection, test results and other deviations if any to QAQC head on time.
