Role Purpose
The Accounting Manager oversees the financial and accounting operations of the construction company. They lead a team of accounting professionals to ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions, preparation of financial statements and reports, and maintenance of effective internal controls. The Manager works closely with other department heads to provide financial insights and support strategic decision‑making.
Key Activities
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Manage the general ledger, including recording transactions and reconciling accounts.
- Oversee the payroll process and ensure accurate and timely payment of employees.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax accountants.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and lead the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as needed.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the Tendering function in supporting construction projects.
- Analyze Tendering data, generate reports, and provide insights to executive leadership to support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance Tendering performance.

Necessary Knowledge and Experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in an accounting management or supervisory role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and construction industry accounting practices.
- Experience with job costing and project management accounting principles.
- Familiarity with construction project lifecycle and the associated financial reporting requirements.
Education and Certification Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- SOCPA (Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountant) certification
