Job summary

Awtad, a prominent real estate development company in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Accountant to enhance our financial team. The role supports financial reporting and project accounting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

The successful candidate will manage supplier and contractor accounts, monitor project costs, and assist in month-end close activities, VAT compliance, and financial analysis across multiple projects in Riyadh.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Practical experience in accounting, preferably in project accounting or contracting companies.
• Good knowledge of supplier and contractor accounts.
• Experience reviewing contracts, payment certificates, and invoices.
• Ability to reconcile account balances and perform accounting adjustments.
• Knowledge of project cost monitoring and petty cash management.
• VAT and electronic invoicing knowledge in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

• Manage suppliers' and contractors' accounts related to projects.
• Review contracts, payment certificates, and invoices for compliance.
• Reconciling supplier and contractor balances and adjusting accordingly.
• Monitor project costs, operating expenses, and petty cash.
• Prepare periodic financial reports on project costs and obligations.
• Monitor VAT and electronic invoicing requirements in Saudi Arabia.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
