Job summary

FlyAkeed is an innovative online platform transforming travel bookings, headquartered in Riyadh. We are seeking a Product Design Led leader to define the design vision, strategy, and execution across our products.

You will lead end-to-end product design, mentor designers, establish scalable design systems, and work closely with Product and Engineering to deliver exceptional user experiences. This role combines hands-on product design with leadership, driving both product quality and design

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Product/UX/UI design or related roles.
• Proven ability to lead projects or mentor designers.
• Strong portfolio with end-to-end product design for web and mobile.
• Expertise in design tokens, design systems, and prototyping.
• Good product thinking balancing user needs and business goals.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Tailwind, React and communicating with engineers.
• Experience with AI-powered design-to-code workflows and tools like Codex/ Claude Code.

• Champion user-centered, data-informed decision making; leverage AI tools.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Product Design Led to define the design vision, strategy, and execution across our products. You will lead end-to-end product design, mentor designers, establish scalable design systems, and work closely with Product and Engineering to deliver exceptional user experiences.

This role combines hands-on product design with leadership, driving both product quality and design excellence across the company.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the overall product design strategy aligned with business goals
• Lead end-to-end product design from discovery and research to high-fidelity UI and production handoff
• Mentor and support designers through coaching, feedback, and career development
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to shape product direction
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and translate insights into impactful product decisions
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished user interfaces
• Build, maintain, and evolve a scalable design system
• Ensure consistency, accessibility, and usability across all products
• Facilitate design critiques, workshops, and cross-functional collaboration
• Champion user-centered design and data-informed decision making
• Leverage modern AI tools and workflows to accelerate design, validation, and implementation

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design, or a related role
• Proven experience leading projects or mentoring designers
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design for web and mobile applications
• Expertise in Figma, prototyping, interaction design, design tokens and design systems
• Strong product thinking with the ability to balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, Tailwind css, React) and the ability to communicate effectively with engineers
• Experience with AI-powered design-to-code workflows, including tools such as Codex, Cursor, or Claude Code
• Hands-on experience with Storybook
• Comfortable reviewing implementation, contributing to design quality in code, and collaborating throughout the development process
• Excellent communication, leadership, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working in Agile product teams

Nice to Have

• Experience designing AI-native products or developer tools
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design
• Experience with product analytics and experimentation
• Basic frontend development experience
• Passion for emerging AI technologies and modern product development workflows
