Job summary

AECOM is seeking a senior procurement leader to manage complex sourcing activities for large-scale infrastructure, rail, transportation, and engineering projects. The role focuses on developing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and delivering cost-effective procurement solutions.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in procurement with at least 5 in leadership, a bachelor's in a related field, and professional certifications such as CIPS/MCIPS/PMP.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications are highly desirable, such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), MCIPS, PMP (advantageous), and Supply Chain or Contract Management certifications.
  • Typically 12+ years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing procurement activities on large-scale infrastructure, rail, transportation, construction, or engineering projects.

  • Under very general direction, purchases supplies and services from vendors at the lowest cost, according to the company standards and specifications.
  • Prepares requests for proposals, analyzes quotes received, selects vendors, schedules and expedites deliveries and follows up on invoices received.
  • This level is viewed as advanced within the scope of the position.
