Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Executiveto manage the Procurement activities related to packaging materials. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards. This role requires close collaboration with Planning, R&D, Marketing, Warehouse, and Finance teams to align purchasing activities with organizational needs and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Operations:
    • Source and purchase primary and secondary packaging materials according to company requirements.
    • Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
    • Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
    • Work closely with the Planning team to forecast packaging needs and align purchases with production schedules.
    • Collaborate with R&D and Marketing for new product development and packaging innovations.
    • Coordinate with the Warehouse team to ensure adequate stock levels and manage inventory turnover.
    • Liaise with the Finance department for budgeting, cost control, and invoice reconciliation.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
    • Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and cost.
    • Evaluate and onboard new suppliers as needed.
    • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications.
    • Monitor market trends and suggest alternative materials or suppliers to ensure business continuity and cost savings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 - 4 years of procurement experience, preferably in packaging materials.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and supplier negotiation.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in FMCG, food & beverage, or manufacturing industry.
