Job description

Principal Engineer, Solutions Architecture

When our customers seek trusted IT consulting expertise, where else would they turn but to the company driving human progress through technology? Our Solutions Architecture team within Professional Services stands at the forefront of solution customization, complex integration, and end-to-end delivery across targeted industry segments. Through deep consultation, rigorous analysis, and hands‑on engineering, we architect and deliver new IT systems—or transform existing ones—to support our customers' strategic, operational, and financial goals.

What you’ll achieve:

As a Principal Engineer, you will lead high-impact initiatives centered on Dell storage solutions—including Dell PowerScale and ObjectScale, owning end-to-end architectures and complex integration strategies across enterprise and AI-driven environments. You will prototype solutions, validate design patterns, drive ecosystem integrations and data management tools, and ensure non-functional requirements—performance, scalability, resilience, and security—are met at scale.

Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Principal Engineer on our Solutions Architecture team.

You will:

• Architect & Design: Create architectural designs and implementation plans for Dell PowerScale and ObjectScale deployments, emphasizing AI and data-intensive workloads.
• Drive Migrations & Integrations: Lead data migrations using native Dell and third-party tooling. Integrate Dell storage with analytics, AI, and cloud-native platforms.
• Install, Customize & Integrate: Oversee installation, customization, and integration of PowerScale and ObjectScale across diverse customer environments.
• Validate & Benchmark: Conduct design reviews, PoCs, and performance benchmarking to validate PowerScale and ObjectScale architectures against customer requirements.
• Standardize & Mentor: Document reusable design standards and reference architectures for block, file, and object storage. Mentor engineers in advanced design and delivery excellence.
