Job summary

National Medical Care in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Phlebotomist/Donor Collection Technician to draw blood and process specimens for analysis. The role requires accurate identity checks, proper sample labeling, and timely transport to the Clinical Laboratory.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Nursing, current SCFHS/MOH license, and BLS certification, with 2 years of relevant experience and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an approved school of medical technology or nursing college.
• Current registration with the designated authority for Medical Technologist/Technician.
• Valid license of SCFHS & MOH in Saudi Arabia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood from patients or donors and record identities accurately.
• Assemble equipment and prepare supplies for tests or procedures.
• Verify patient identity and communicate to reduce anxiety.
• Perform phlebotomy including venipuncture for all age groups.
• Label, store, and transport specimens securely to the lab.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and follow safety policies.
• Handle adverse reactions calmly and inform supervisor as required.
• Adhere to infection control and biosafety standards.
• Document and manage records including LIS-related activities.
