Job summary

SCHEME in Saudi Arabia seeks a Planning Engineer to provide analytical and operational support for optimizing petrochemical and polymers feedstock streams. You will prepare production planning inputs, develop schedules, and perform mass balance analyses to support commercial and operational decisions.

The role collaborates with operations, logistics, sales and business development to gather data, monitor execution, and highlight deviations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Science/Engineering or related field.
+3 years of relevant experience in planning, optimization, or production scheduling.
Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science background preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepares short- to medium-term production plans balancing demand, plant capabilities, inventory and maintenance constraints.
Develops weekly and monthly production schedules for related products.
Tracks execution of schedules, identifies deviations and reports findings for corrective actions.
Performs scenario comparisons and what-if analyses to support planning reviews.
Collects and validates data for feedstock optimization and mass balance models.
Supports mass balance updates by entering data and validating results.
Contributes to economics/margin consolidation for feedstock evaluation.
Gathers data and transforms it into dashboards, tables and KPIs for planning decisions.
Prepares regular reports on feedstock utilization, production plans, inventories and capacity utilization.
Highlights abnormalities or trends and coordinates with operations, logistics, sales and BD for data needs.
Participates in S&OP and ES&OP meetings to align production with demand.
