Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Pastry Helper to assist the Pastry Chef and bakery team with daily pastry production. You will help with basic food preparation, equipment organization, and maintaining hygiene standards in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

The role supports the pastry team in baking, decorating, and finishing pastries and desserts, ensuring efficient operations and quality results while adhering to food safety procedures and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous bakery/pastry kitchen experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of pastry and bakery preparation.
• Ability to follow recipes and food safety procedures.
• Good teamwork and communication in a kitchen.
• Willingness to learn pastry preparation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily production and preparation for pastries and bakery items.
• Measure, weigh and prepare ingredients according to recipes.
• Assist with doughs, creams, fillings, batters and other pastry products.
• Support preparation, baking, decorating and finishing of pastries and desserts.
• Maintain clean, organized workstation and proper storage of ingredients.
• Support pastry team during busy service periods and events.
