Job summary

AJEX is seeking a Paralegal to support the Legal Manager and Legal Team in providing legal solutions aligned with the company's commercial interests and Saudi regulations. The role involves drafting contracts, reviewing agreements, and maintaining a contract database in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate must have a law degree, 2+ years of experience in commercial law, and fluency in English and Arabic.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in law from a reputable university.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in commercial and business law.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic.
  • Solid knowledge of Saudi company, commercial, and regulatory laws.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares draft contracts for review by the Legal Manager.
  • Review new contractual agreements and report to the Legal Manager on any observed non-compliance whether by outside parties or by the relevant company as appropriate.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining a database of all company contracts and legal obligations.
  • Assists the Legal Department with review of contracts prepared by other parties proposing to enter into agreements with our group of companies ensuring that the relevant company's legal rights are protected.
  • Represents or assists the group and each relevant company before any Ministry for filings including GAC and MISA filings.
  • Advises the staff on the interpretation of any agreements / contracts to clarify issues.
  • Liaises with outside law firms and / or lawyers engaged for special assignments ensuring that legal matters are attended to in a timely manner.
  • Drafts legal letters and settlements for issuance to contractors.
  • Brings to the notice of the management any new regulations / laws in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that may have a potential impact, either positive or negative on the group's or any of its companies' operations.
  • Demonstrates a 'can do' attitude and willingness / ability to think outside the box.
  • Stays updated on industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes in KSA.
  • Any other related tasks and responsibilities that are assigned by the Management.
