The Operations Specialist is responsible for developing concepts of operations, procedures, and training plans for Air Traffic Services (ATS), as well as identifying operational requirements for CNS systems. Additionally, the role requires developing training plans for Air Traffic Controllers on CNS systems, developing transition and commissioning plans for CNS systems, and acting as a subject matter expert (SME) in CNS systems projects and related consultancy activities within the set KPIs, agreed budgets and adopted policies and procedures.
Main Responsibilities
CNS/ATM Systems Projects
- Solution Identification: Identifying suitable CNS/ATM solutions in collaboration with technical teams.
- Operational Requirements: Identifying operational/ATS requirements for CNS/ATM systems.
- Client Needs Assessment: Assessing client/stakeholders needs and operational requirements related to CNS/ATM systems.
- System Integration: Ensure compatibility and integration of CNS/ATM systems with existing infrastructure.
ATS Operations Concept Development
- Client Collaboration: Collaborate with clients to understand their operational requirements and objectives.
- Concept Design: Design and develop comprehensive concepts of operations tailored to meet client needs.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with international and national standards and regulations.
ATS Procedures Development
- Requirement Analysis: Analyze client/stakeholders’ requirements and regulatory guidelines to develop efficient and effective ATS procedures.
- Procedure Development: Develop and update procedures to reflect changes in technology, regulations, safety, and operational needs.
ATS Training Plan Development
- Training Program Design: Design and implement comprehensive training programs for air traffic service personnel.
- Training Materials: Develop training materials and manuals to facilitate effective learning.
CNS/ATM Systems Training Plan for Air Traffic Controllers Development
- Training Program Creation: Develop and create training programs focusing on the operation of CNS/ATM systems.
- Effectiveness Assessment: Assess training effectiveness and provide ongoing support to trainees.
- Specialized Training Coordination: Coordinate with subject matter experts to deliver specialized training modules.
CNS/ATM Systems Transition and Commissioning Plan Development
- Transition/Commissioning Plan: Develop a comprehensive transition/commissioning plan.
- Plan Execution: Execute the transition/commissioning plan from existing systems to new CNS/ATM solutions.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and commissioning.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor post-implementation performance and address any issues or concerns.
Consultancy Services
- Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in CNS/ATM systems projects and related ATS consultancy studies and activities.
Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Compliance: Conduct day-to-day activities while ensuring compliance to policies and procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes taking into account leading practices, and productivity improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field, preferably within the aviation or technological solutions sectors.
- A bachelor’s degree in aviation management or equivalent is required.
