Qualifications

Job Summary

The NDT / PAUT Inspector is responsible for performing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), with a primary focus on Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT), to assess the integrity of materials, welds, and components without causing damage. The role ensures full compliance with applicable industry codes, safety regulations, and client requirements, supporting projects across oil & gas, aerospace, construction, and manufacturing sectors.

Your Tasks
  • Perform PAUT inspections on welds, pipelines, pressure vessels, structural components, and related assets.
  • Interpret and evaluate inspection results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate PAUT equipment to ensure accurate and reliable inspection results.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and detailed inspection reports and technical documentation.
  • Review inspection data and identify defects, discontinuities, or non-conformities.
  • Ensure all inspection activities comply with safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC teams, engineers, and clients to address inspection findings and technical queries.
  • Support audits, client inspections, and project requirements as needed.
  • Maintain inspection equipment and ensure proper handling and storage.
  • Willingness to work in field, site, or offshore environments and travel as required.
Your Qualifications
  • High school diploma, technical degree, or Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Non-Destructive Testing, including at least 2 years of hands‑on PAUT experience.
  • Valid NDT certifications such as ASNT Level II or ISO 9712 Level II in PAUT and UT (mandatory).
  • Additional certifications in RT, MT, PT, or VT are considered an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of ultrasonic testing principles and phased array technology.
  • Proven experience using PAUT equipment and software (e.g., Olympus OmniScan, Sonatest, or equivalent).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, procedures, and technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Willingness to travel and work in field, site, or offshore environments as required.
