Overview

Visual Merchandiser Specialist – IKEA

Use visual merchandising capability to enhance the individuality of the IKEA brand in range presentation options in the shop by working with store design, range presentation, and vigor. Stay up to date with knowledge about home furnishings, retailing, and trends to create imaginative directions that inspire and surprise visitors with a strong visual perception. Employ understanding of customer needs to plan and execute appropriate, inspiring, affordable, and commercial range presentation options that reflect a wide range of styles, price levels, and satisfy diverse tastes while exceeding visitor expectations. Act quickly to utilize commercial opportunities and understand the impact of activities on economic outcomes. Respect schedules, timelines, and responsibilities; collaborate with the Interaction & Interior Decoration Group and other store functions. Ensure quality, simplicity, performance, and price awareness in planning and executing all range presentation solutions by using national guidelines and IKEA tools, proven IKEA methods, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with the Interaction & Interior Decoration Group and other store functions, respecting schedules and objectives.
  • Deliver high-quality, simple, efficient, and cost-conscious presentation solutions in line with guidelines and best practices.
Qualifications
  • An interest in home furnishing, selling, design, and how people live in their homes.
  • University degree in interior design or architecture; strong industrial focus.
  • Design-based education with relevant work experience.
  • Ability to generate new concepts and ideas; solid aesthetic skills with an eye for textures and finishes.
