Overview

The MEP Manager will lead and oversee all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works on high-rise building projects in Saudi Arabia. This role ensures that design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems are executed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency, while complying with Saudi codes, authority requirements, and international best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management & Execution
    • Manage all aspects of MEP works (HVAC, Firefighting, Electrical, Plumbing, ELV, and Building Management Systems).
    • Oversee design coordination, shop drawings review, and approvals in collaboration with consultants and authorities.
    • Plan, schedule, and monitor MEP works to align with project timelines and milestones.
    • Ensure integration of MEP systems with architectural and structural elements.
  • Quality, Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Codes, Civil Defense regulations, and international standards.
    • Enforce quality assurance/control (QA/QC) procedures across MEP works.
    • Ensure all MEP works adhere to safety standards and site safety regulations.
  • Coordination & Stakeholder Management
    • Liaise with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
    • Conduct regular coordination meetings with design, civil, and finishing teams to avoid conflicts and delays.
    • Provide progress reports and updates to senior management and clients.
  • Cost & Procurement Control
    • Monitor and control project costs related to MEP systems.
    • Review material submittals and approve suppliers in line with project specifications.
    • Support procurement team in negotiations with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Testing, Commissioning & Handover
    • Lead the testing and commissioning of MEP systems to ensure full functionality.
    • Ensure proper documentation, manuals, and as-built drawings are completed.
    • Support smooth handover to client/facilities management.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 12–15 years of MEP experience, with at least 5 years in managerial roles on high-rise building projects in Saudi Arabia or GCC.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong knowledge of HVAC, firefighting, electrical, plumbing, ELV, and building automation systems.
    • Familiarity with Saudi Building Codes, Civil Defense approvals, and local authority processes.
    • Experience with design coordination, shop drawings, and commissioning of high-rise projects.
    • Knowledge of international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEEE, IEC, etc.).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
    • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Certifications: PMP, LEED, or similar certifications preferred.
  • Languages: Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage).
