Job summary

DAMAC Digital is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to operate and monitor critical mechanical systems in a Riyadh data centre. You will manage chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, HVAC, cooling towers and pumps, ensuring 24/7 availability and reliability.

The role requires 5+ years of data centre experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and hands-on HVAC/chilled-water expertise. You will follow SOPs/MOPs/EOPs, coordinate with vendors, and support incident management and RCA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of data centre or critical facilities experience.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC and chilled-water systems.
• Knowledge of BMS/DCIM and critical facility operations.
• Experience with SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, PTW and LOTO.
• Willingness to work a 24/7 shift.

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues.
• Monitor BMS/DCIM and respond to alarms, equipment abnormalities and operational incidents.
• Implement and follow SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, PTW and LOTO procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors and internal teams for planned maintenance, breakdowns and equipment repairs.
• Support emergency response, incident management and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and energy performance.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and data centre operational standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in data centres, critical facilities or other mission-critical environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with HVAC, chilled‑water and cooling systems.
• Good understanding of BMS/DCIM and critical facility operations.
• Experience with SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, PTW and LOTO.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Data centre experience is highly preferred.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift environment.
