Job summary

Guardian Industries in Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to provide on-the-floor engineering support to operations and maintenance, uphold a strong safety culture, and help transform the plant by adding automation and upgrading systems.

You will generate and review mechanical requirements, oversee installation and maintenance of conveyors, air systems, chillers and related equipment, read drawings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on capital projects to improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Knowledge of equipment safety systems and safe working practices.
• Ability to read pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
• Experience with conveyors, air compressors, fans, chillers, cooling towers, RO/DI plants, and generators.
• Experience in continuous process automation plants.
• Experience in leading and supporting engineering projects.
• Experience with fluid systems (air, cooling water, and pure water).

• Provide on-the-floor engineering support to operations & maintenance to understand equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and evaluate system capabilities.
• Actively participate in driving a safety culture and suggest improvements.
• Execute capital projects including upgrades to plant systems and equipment.
• Generate mechanical requirements and estimates for projects and upgrades.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Oversee installation, operation, maintenance and repair of plant equipment (conveyors, automation, batching, furnaces).
• Read, modify and create technical drawings and models.
• Provide training and technical support to Maintenance and Production Departments.
• Investigate equipment failures and propose solutions.

What You Will Do

• Provide on-the-floor Engineering support to operations & maintenance to understand equipment performance, troubleshoot issues in a timely manner, and evaluate system capabilities.
• Actively participate in driving a safety culture where employees address unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviours and participate and make suggestions for improvements.
• Execute capital projects including upgrades to plant systems, process equipment, and scalable transformation priorities
• Generate mechanical requirements and estimates for projects and equipment upgrades
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Oversee the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment such as conveying systems, automated stacking equipment, batching operations and combustion furnace operations
• Read, modify and create technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated models
• Provide training and technical support to Maintenance and Production Departments
• Investigate equipment failures and make recommendations for solutions to manufacturing processes
  
  
  

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Good knowledge of equipment safety systems and safe working practices.
• Strong ability to read and interpret pneumatic and hydraulic schematic diagrams.
• Good mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting experience with industrial and facility equipment, including conveyors, air compressors, fan alignment, mixers, chiller systems, cooling towers, R/O and DI plants, and generators.
• Experience working in continuous process automation plants.
• Experience in leading and supporting engineering projects.
• Experience with fluid systems, including air, cooling water, and pure water systems.

• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Experience with AutoCAD, and/or other CAD packages
• Experience with practical mechanical design, fabrication, and manufacturing support
• Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance
