Job summary

Red Sea Global is seeking a strategic IT planning leader to drive alignment of IT initiatives with organizational goals. This role focuses on governance, prioritization, and effective use of technology resources to support growth and efficiency.

The candidate will partner with IT leadership and stakeholders to ensure delivery of prioritized IT initiatives, while building a mature and scalable IT organization. Strong communication with vendors and internal teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technology related field is required.
• Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., MBA) preferred.

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to ensure that the Technology unit operates with clear direction, effective prioritization, and strong alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. The role provides value by translating business needs into structured IT plans that support operational efficiency, informed decision-making, and sustainable growth. It contributes to the organization by optimizing the use of technology resources, strengthening governance, and enabling the successful delivery of IT initiatives that enhance overall business performance.

Job Responsibilities:

Functional Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and advancement of the IT Department’s planning function to ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives and future direction.
• Establish and enhance planning, governance, and performance management practices that improve visibility, accountability, and decision-making across the IT function.
• Partner with IT leadership and key stakeholders to ensure the department is positioned to meet evolving business needs, support transformation agendas, and respond to future growth requirements.
• Contribute to building a forward-looking IT function that is capable of sustaining growth, enabling transformation, and delivering measurable business value to the organization.
• Manage and maintain effective working relationships with external stakeholders, suppliers, service providers, and strategic partners to support the delivery of IT priorities, ensure service alignment, and maximize value from external engagements.
• Champion continuous improvement in planning processes, operational coordination, and governance standards to build a more mature, agile, and scalable IT organization.

Managerial Responsibilities:

• Provide input to the Department’s strategy from the Section or Unit perspective, in alignment with RSG’s vision and mission.
• Supervise the preparation of planning reports, performance updates, and management dashboards, and ensure timely communication of key planning insights to leadership.
• Contribute to the Section or Unit’s budget preparation and monitor financial performance.
• Manage the coordination of planning activities across the IT Department and provide direction to ensure priorities, timelines, and deliverables are effectively monitored and achieved.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and strategic partners to support planning requirements, service alignment, and the successful delivery of IT initiatives.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a technology related field (Engineering, Finance, Computer Science)
• A master's degree or relevant certifications is preferred (e.g., Masters of Engineering or MBA)

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven +8 experience in Engineering roles, Finance, Procurement and IT, preferably in a technology-focused environment.
• Familiarity with Finance & procurement processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
• Proficiency in using technology software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
