Job summary

Varel Energy Solutions (VES) is seeking an experienced machinist to set up and operate manual machines to produce metal parts. You will read blueprints, verify tolerances, plan operations, and ensure quality while maintaining a safe workspace.

Typically 5 years of related experience is preferred. The role emphasizes precision, lean practices, and adherence to safety policies in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading blueprints, sketches and part descriptions.
• Able to interpret tolerances, dimensions and production schedules.
• Experience with micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools to machine metal parts to specifications.
• Interpret blueprints to determine sequence of operations and machines.
• Plan and perform machining with milling machines and lathes.
• Assist with brazing, grinding, finishing, and troubleshooting fixtures.
• Maintain clean, organized and safe work area.
• Perform other duties and participate in special projects as needed.
