Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage logistics staff, including warehouse personnel, coordinators, and support staff; provide leadership, assign tasks, monitor performance, and foster a positive and productive team environment.
  • Train new and existing staff on company policies, safety procedures, and logistics operations; conduct periodic training sessions and ensure team members are well-informed of any updates or changes to processes.
  • Develop and maintain employee schedules, ensuring proper staffing levels to meet operational demands; address staffing issues such as absenteeism, overtime, and shift coverage.
  • Monitor and manage the day-to-day activities of the logistics operations, including coordination with suppliers for shipments, receiving, storing, and shipping goods, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Analyze the efficiency of the logistics processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to streamline operations, reduce turnaround time, and increase productivity.
  • Ensure that the goods being handled are accurate, damage-free, and meet quality standards; enforce strict checks on inventory and shipments to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of inventory levels and movements; monitor stock levels, reorder points, and perform regular stock checks to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
  • Ensure that stock rotation principles (FIFO, FEFO, etc.) are followed to reduce spoilage, waste, or obsolescence, especially for perishable or time-sensitive goods.

  • Ensure logistics operations comply with local regulations regarding transportation, storage, handling of goods, and employee safety.
  • Enforce safety policies and guidelines, including proper handling of hazardous materials, safe lifting techniques, vehicle safety, and emergency response protocols; ensure all staff are trained in these safety procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the logistics operations and develop mitigation strategies to prevent accidents or delays.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers regarding delivery schedules, status updates, and any issues related to logistics; ensure customer complaints are handled quickly and effectively.
  • Ensure that all customer orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and delivered on time; work with the sales and support service teams to resolve any order fulfillment issues.
  • Investigate and resolve any logistical issues, including delayed shipments, inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or transport accidents; act swiftly to mitigate the impact on customers and business operations.
  • Ensure that all required documentation, such as bills of lading, shipping manifests, inventory records, and regulatory forms, is accurate and filed in a timely manner.
  • Utilize in-house system for full business flow cycle (shipping documents, cargo insurance, SRVs, DN's, credit notes, etc.).
