King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) invites applications for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in the Electrical Engineering Department. The successful candidate will teach, advise, and contribute to curriculum development while engaging in professional development and potential research or applied projects aligned with departmental priorities.

Preference will be given in areas like Control Systems, Electronics, Electromagnetics, and Networks.

Qualifications

• Senior lecturer applicants must hold a full-time PhD in a relevant field.
• Lecturer applicants must hold a full-time master's degree in a relevant field.
• Certificate equivalency is required if the certificate is obtained outside the Kingdom.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions in Electrical Engineering.
• Contribute to curriculum development and program design at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Supervise and mentor student projects, capstones, and internships.

Job Description

We invite applications from highly motivated and qualified candidates for a position as Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in the Electrical Engineering Department. The successful candidate will play an active role in delivering high-quality teaching, contributing to curriculum development, providing academic advising, and supporting departmental service activities. The role also includes engagement in ongoing professional development and, where appropriate, participation in collaborative research or applied projects aligned with departmental priorities.

In line with current instructional needs, preference will be given to candidates with teaching expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• Control Systems
• Electronics
• Electromagnetics
• Networks

Job Responsibility

• Teaching & Instruction
  • Deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions in core and specialized areas of Electrical Engineering (such as power systems, electronics, control systems, communications, circuits, or renewable energy).
  • Prepare course materials, assignments, and examinations in line with departmental standards.
  • Incorporate modern teaching methods, technology, and industry-relevant practices into instruction.
• Contribute to the design, review, and continuous improvement of undergraduate and/or graduate programs.
• Supervise and mentor undergraduate student projects, capstones, and internships.
• Provide academic advising, guidance, and support to students.
• Service & Administration
  • Participate in departmental, college, and university committees.
  • Contribute to outreach, accreditation, and quality assurance processes.
  • Support departmental initiatives, such as labs, student clubs, and industry collaboration.
• Professional Development & Research
  • Engage in applied research, scholarly activities, or professional practice (depending on departmental expectations).
  • Foster industry and community partnerships.
