Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group in Riyadh seeks a Senior Waiter/Captain to lead restaurant sections across breakfast, lunch, dinner, buffet and à la carte service. You will ensure all tables and stations are prepared, coordinate wait staff, and uphold IHG standards.

You will work closely with culinary, handle guest requests, upsell beverage offerings, and maintain high hygiene and safety standards while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in luxury hotels or reputable restaurants.
• Experience as Senior Waiter, Captain or similar preferred.
• Knowledge of All Day Dining, buffet and à la carte service.
• Good menu, beverage, POS and food safety knowledge.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Good English communication; Arabic an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned restaurant sections during breakfast, lunch, dinner, buffet and à la carte operations.
• Ensure tables, buffet and service stations are prepared before service.
• Coordinate waiters within the assigned section as directed by the Supervisor.
• Maintain IHG service standards and sequence of service.
• Maintain strong floor presence and engage with guests.
• Take orders accurately and deliver efficiently.
• Coordinate with Culinary on guest requests, dietary needs and replenishment.
• Support revenue, average check and upselling targets.
• Ensure correct use of POS, billing and payment procedures.
• Elevate serious guest concerns to Supervisor or Restaurant Manager.
