Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Lead Trend Engineer for the Ar Rjum Project in Saudi Arabia. You will manage the project trend program, maintain the trend register, and coordinate with trend and package owners to develop and load trends into EcoSys.

Responsibilities include cost/hours impact estimation, dashboard management, weekly trend meetings, and contribution to monthly cost reporting. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8–14 years of experience in project controls or related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, PM or related field; international equivalent.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience; or 12–14 years alternate.
• Relocation: International - Camp may be required.

Project Overview

The Ar Rjum Project comprises a green field gold project with three open pit mining operations with associated waste dumps and ore stockpile, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure including water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, temporary and permanent accommodation village.

The Project is situated within the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km north-east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km South of Al Mouwayh, which is a small town situated on the Jeddah - Riyadh highway.

Job Summary

As the Lead Trend Engineer you will be responsible for the overall management of the project trend program, including but not limited to the management of the trend register, coordination of trend development, running of project trend meetings and loading of completed trends into EcoSys.

Major Responsibilities

• Day to day management of the trend program. Point of Contact for whole of project in trend initiation
• Coordinate development of trend quantities and inputs with the trend and package owners
• Estimation of trend cost / hours impacts
• Cost code trends and load into EcoSys
• Manage trend dashboard and run weekly project trend meeting
• Contribute to monthly cost reporting

Education And Experience Requirements

Requires Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project/Construction Management or related fields (or international equivalent) and 8 - 10 years of relevant experience; alternatively, 12-14 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge And Skills

• Proficiency in using PC operating systems and multi discipline specific software applications (EcoSys, PowerBI, Microsoft applications).
• Skilled in oral and written communication, with demonstrated ability to present Project Controls information to management/client.
• Demonstrated skill in identifying, analysing, and solving problems.
