Job summary

ABB in Al Khobar is seeking an experienced DCS Engineer to design and execute medium to high complexity process automation projects. You will lead multi-discipline teams, deliver high-quality service, and ensure alignment with safety and standards.

The role integrates with Sales, Product Management, and Business Development to provide customer-focused solutions. You will oversee proposals, understand customer requirements, and formulate to-be architectures.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or Electronics & Communications.
8-10 years’ experience in Process Automation in Large Oil & Gas / Refineries / Petrochemicals.
Experience with high-complex DCS architectures, retrofits, upgrades and commissioning.
Knowledge of virtualization, VMware ESXi, and Windows administration.
Experience with network devices, cyber security considerations, and domain configuration.
Experience with ABB 800xA and ABB legacy systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead medium to high complexity projects across all disciplines.
Prepare proposals/presentations for service projects.
Analyze customer requirements and design to-be processes with business resources.
Create work plans and cost estimates; ensure timely, within-budget delivery.
Mentor team members and provide technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning.
Collaborate with Sales, Product Management and Business Development to deliver solutions.
Identify product and service improvements and discuss changes with management.
Coordinate project installation, commissioning, and site activities to resolve issues.
