Job summary

ABB in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Project Lead Engineer for 800xA to design and execute DCS engineering activities in service projects of medium to high complexity. You will lead cross-discipline teams, develop work plans and cost estimates, and ensure quality deliverables on time.

The role requires 8–10 years in process automation, experience with large oil & gas/refineries, and knowledge of ABB 800xA, ESXi, and cyber security design.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in Process Automation, especially in Large Oil & Gas / Refineries / Petrochemicals
• Experience in High complex DCS Architecture with multiple systems
• Experience in DCS retrofits, upgrades, service and commissioning
• Experience in virtualization concepts and ESXi setup
• Familiarity with ABB legacy systems (Advant, Safeguard, Infi90, SCADA Vantage) is a plus
• Willingness to relocate overseas and travel offshore/onshore

Responsibilities

• Lead medium to high complex projects across all disciplines
• Prepare proposals/presentations for service projects
• Identify customer requirements and design to-be integrations
• Create work plans and cost estimates; ensure timely, quality deliverables
• Mentor and guide project team; provide technical support for testing, installation and commissioning
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management and BD to deliver customer-focused solutions
