Job summary

ABIS is seeking a qualified Coating Supervisor for Oil & Gas projects. The Coating Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the application of coatings to infrastructure and equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.

This role involves directing coating crews, coordinating with quality control inspectors, and monitoring the progress of coating activities on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Coating Technology, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience supervising coating activities in the oil and gas industry.
• Knowledge of coating materials, surface preparation, and application techniques.
• Familiarity with NACE, SSPC standards and relevant safety regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day coating operations to ensure timely and quality completion
• Coordinate with site engineers, QA/QC teams, and contractors to fulfill project requirements
• Ensure all coating activities adhere to safety policies and environmental regulations
• Conduct inspections to monitor surface preparation, coating application, and curing processes
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to coating works
• Train and mentor coating crew members to improve performance and compliance with procedures
• Identify and resolve issues during coating operations to minimize downtime
