Job summary

Our client is a global interior design firm, delivering brand-focused spaces across North America, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia Pacific. The Junior Interior Designer supports the creative design and development of interior spaces across retail, F&B, hospitality, and other commercial projects.

Working under senior designers, you will contribute to creative, functional, and visually engaging design solutions that meet client requirements, company standards, and brand guidelines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Strong creativity and understanding of interior design principles.
• Ability to translate a project brief into a complete concept.
• Basic AutoCAD skills to create layouts and space plans.
• Proficiency in 3ds Max and Corona Renderer.
• Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
• Good sense of space planning, color, lighting, and composition.
• Detail-oriented and capable of meeting deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with a design team.

The Junior Interior Designer supports the creative design and development of interior spaces across retail, F&B, hospitality, and other commercial projects.

Working under the guidance of senior designers and managers, the Junior Interior Designer will contribute to the development of creative, functional, and visually engaging design solutions that meet client requirements, company standards, and brand guidelines.

The role includes assisting with the development of pre-concepts and design ideas, preparing basic space plans and layouts, and producing 3D visualisations to effectively communicate design intent. The Junior Interior Designer will also support the selection of materials, finishes, furniture, colour schemes, and other design elements as required.

The ideal candidate will have a strong design sense, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate creative ideas and design direction into clear visual concepts. They will be expected to contribute fresh ideas, respond positively to feedback, and collaborate with the wider project team to support the successful delivery of projects to the required quality and programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop pre-concepts based on project briefs and requirements.
• Create mood boards, material palettes, color schemes, and overall design directions.
• Develop functional space-planning and furniture layouts using AutoCAD.
• Create 3D interior models using Autodesk 3ds Max.
• Produce high-quality, photorealistic visualizations using Corona Renderer.
• Select suitable materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, accessories, and decorative elements.
• Research new materials, products, design references, and current interior design trends.
• Present design ideas clearly through layouts, mood boards, sketches, and 3D visuals.
• Manage assigned design tasks and meet agreed deadlines.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Strong creativity and a good understanding of interior design principles.
• Ability to interpret a project brief and develop a complete concept.
• Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD, including the ability to create functional furniture layouts and basic space plans.
• Proficiency in Autodesk 3ds Max and Corona Renderer.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop.
• Good understanding of space planning, scale, proportion, color, materials, lighting, and composition.
• Strong 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering skills.
• Awareness of furniture, finishes, materials, and current interior design trends.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work within deadlines.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work as part of a creative team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Up to three years of relevant experience.
• Experience in commercial, hospitality, or retail interior design.
• Basic knowledge of technical drawings and construction details is an advantage.
• Hand-sketching or digital-sketching ability is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design and visualization tools is an advantage
