Job description
Responsibilities
  • Operate, maintain, and monitor Linux and Windows server environments to ensure system stability, performance, and availability.
  • Build, deploy, and support web-based tools, microservices, and backend services using open-source technologies.
  • Configure, manage, and optimize data sources including MySQL, Redis, Cassandra, and other relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Execute basic troubleshooting across infrastructure, applications, networks, and databases to resolve incidents efficiently.
  • Prepare and optimize SQL queries to extract operational reports and support business and technical analysis.
  • Manage source control repositories using Git and SVN, ensuring proper versioning, branching, and release control practices.
  • Support orchestration and automation tools to streamline deployments, monitoring, and operational workflows.
  • Monitor system health, logs, and performance metrics and proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and operational issues.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, and IT operations teams to support system integration and service reliability.
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
Technical Skills & Competencies
  • Solid understanding of Linux administration and basic Windows server management.
  • Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, ports, firewalls).
  • Working knowledge of SQL databases and basic query writing.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills across systems, applications, and connectivity layers.
  • Familiarity with source control tools such as Git and SVN.
  • Exposure to microservices, web-based applications, and open-source technologies.
  • Ability to understand system architecture and operational workflows.
