Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Irrigation Inspector to monitor irrigation systems on road and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. You will verify installations align with approved drawings, specifications, and standards, and ensure efficient water distribution and environmental/safety compliance.

You will review contractor work, prepare reports, and collaborate with engineers and project teams to resolve issues while supporting testing, commissioning, and handover of irrigation systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Irrigation Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience inspecting irrigation on road/infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Job Description Overview

The Irrigation Inspector will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting irrigation systems within road and infrastructure projects to ensure proper installation, efficient water management, and compliance with design specifications, environmental standards, and safety regulations. Your role Inspect installation of irrigation systems for roadside landscaping and greenery. Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and industry standards. Conduct site inspections to ensure proper alignment, pressure, and water distribution. Monitor adherence to environmental and safety regulations. Review and validate contractor work, materials, and equipment used in irrigation systems. Prepare inspection reports, checklists, and documentation for project records. Identify non-conformities and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to resolve technical issues. Ensure timely completion of irrigation works in line with project schedules. Support testing, commissioning, and handover of irrigation systems.

About you

Diploma/Degree in Irrigation Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field. Proven experience in irrigation inspection within road and infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, hydraulics, and water distribution technologies. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and irrigation design software. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Knowledge of sustainable water management practices. Familiarity with testing and commissioning procedures. Effective time management to handle multiple inspections and deadlines.
