Job summary

Saudi Aramco seeks a highly qualified IP Docketing Specialist (Analyst) to join the Intellectual Property Law Department in Saudi Arabia. The role centers on maintaining the docketing system for patents and trademarks with accurate records focused on both domestic and international matters.

You will manage matter creation, transfers, and deadlines, monitor communications from outside counsel, and generate portfolio reports for attorneys and management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of patent docketing experience at a top firm or major corporate legal dept.
• Experience in patent and trademark prosecution and foreign databases.
• Strong English writing skills and excellent organizational ability.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Excel.
• Thorough knowledge of IP docketing software (Unycom is a plus).
• Fluent English communication, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Manage the company’s intellectual property docketing system for patents, trademarks and related matters.
• Create, manage, and maintain foreign and domestic intellectual property matters.
• Assist with portfolio data management, including matter creation, transfers and closures.
• Monitor communications from outside counsel law firms and docket deadlines and tasks for in-house attorneys and paralegals.
• Perform quality control audits of docket entries to ensure accuracy, completeness, and data integrity.
• Generate regular reports for attorneys and management regarding portfolio status, upcoming deadlines, workload metrics and compliance tracking.
• Learn and understand the company’s IP docketing processes, proactively identify opportunities for improvement, and implement best practices to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the docketing process.
