Job summary

Red Sea Gateway Terminal is seeking an ESB integration developer to analyse, design, develop and implement integration applications for internal use and clients. The role focuses on reliable data integration and transformation across business applications.

The candidate will have 3+ years in similar roles, with Java development experience and strong SQL Server/Oracle skills. The position requires detailed problem solving, teamwork, and the ability to deliver on schedule in a structured SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Information Technology or a related field.
• Proficient in coding and debugging across multiple languages with data integration focus.
• Experience designing database schemas and building stored procedures, views and functions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver projects.
• Deliver working, tested, high-quality software on schedule.
• Develop documentation throughout the SDLC for existing and new applications.
• Maintain and support all existing applications.
• Optimize database queries for best execution plans.
• Perform unit tests and fix bugs.
• Provide training to end users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.

Purpose of the job:

To analyse, design, develop and implement Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) integration applications for internal company use and for clients. The role ensures reliable data integration and transformation across business applications.

Qualification/Capabilities:

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Information Technology or a related field.

Skills/Attributes:

Coding and debugging in multiple programming languages, data integration and transformation, database connectivity, configuration and optimization, problem solving, attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to deliver on schedule.

Required Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
• At least 1 year of experience developing Java applications.
• Experience designing database schemas and building high-performing stored procedures, views and functions in SQL Server and Oracle.
• Experience transforming XML and flat files (CSV, Fixed-Width, EDI).
• Understanding of Web Services concepts, protocols and security standards.
• Knowledge of Java Groovy is an advantage.
