Job summary

ACWA NOMAC is seeking an I&C Technician to perform maintenance, installation, overhauling and modification of plant instrumentation and control systems in line with procedures, HSE guidelines and quality standards to ensure reliable plant operation.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting of control valves and transmitters, calibration, and documentation of repairs. A technical diploma in Instrument Engineering and 3–5 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in instrument and control maintenance at a CCGT power plant environment.
• Technical certificate or Associate Diploma in Instrument Engineering is required.
• Knowledge of HSE & quality standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine instrumental and control maintenance to support continuous operations.
• Monitor system conditions and report non-conformances to the IC Engineer/Supervisor.
• Respond to instrument/control failures and apply corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and calibrate instruments, replace parts, and reassemble for reliable operation.
• Diagnose malfunctions in control valves, transmitters, and related equipment with IC team support.
• Read technical manuals and diagrams to guide maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
• Align, adjust and calibrate equipment per specifications and maintain repair/calibration records.
• Update maintenance logbooks with test results and conditions.
