Job summary

Hill International is seeking an experienced HSSE professional to lead health, safety, security and environmental efforts for large-scale projects in Riyadh. The role demands strong knowledge of HSSE laws and systems, plus the ability to manage contractor and consultant interfaces during construction.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in HSSE, excellent English communication, and proven reporting and presentation skills for regulatory compliance and project risk management.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent work experience with international certifications.
• Willingness to demonstrate 15+ years of experience on large-scale projects.
• Experience managing HSSE across projects or facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee HSSE programs for large-scale projects.
• Prepare reports on HSSE activities and performance.
• Ensure compliance with national and international HSSE laws and regulations.
• Coordinate with contractors and consultants on HSSE matters during construction.

Job description

• A degree in engineering (or equivalent work experience) supplemented by relevant international certifications.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in large-scale projects.
• Experience in managing all aspects of HSSE on projects or facilities.
• Knowledge of HSSE sciences/engineering systems, principles and methodologies. Extensive and
  demonstrated knowledge of national and international HSSE laws/regulations and regulatory/resource
  agencies permitting processes and responsibilities, industry standards for HSSE compliance and best
  management practices for minimizing potential HSSE impacts during project execution. Knowledge of
  technical terminology common to industrial hygiene, health physics, safety engineering, and environmental
  compliance.
• Ability to deal effectively with HSSE matters with contractors/subcontractors or consultants during
  construction.
• Ability to prepare reports related to HSSE activities in the projects
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Excellent presentation skills.
• Experience of working internationally (preference KSA experience)
